Remove Gaps from Word Doc

Dear All,

When I copy paste text from a pdf onto a doc..., also when I copy
paste some text from html pages, there is so much of gap or empty
space between one line and the other. Is there a way to remove the gap
and get the text justified?

Awaiting suggestions..

Using edit > paste special > unformatted text would be a start - see also
