I am using outlook 2003 and send an email to the wrong address. Now everytime
I start to type a new address in the from box that starts with the letter of
the wrong address I keep seeing it. I wish to know if there is a way to stop
this address from showing everytime I type the first letter of that name.
Thanks very much.

What do you mean by "use the arrow keys to highlight it"? My arrow keys
don't highlight anything!

When you start typing in the To field and the list of names pops up, the
topmost name should show in blue. That's "highlighted". When you press
your down-arrow key, the highlighting should move to the next name down.
Continue to press the down-arrow key until the name you don't want shows in
blue (i.e., is highlighted). At that point, press the Delete key on the
keyboard.

Thanks - I realized this later! My frustration was occurring when I had only
one (incorrect) e-mail address that autofilled. I realized later that before
it gets to that point, there may be a one letter "stage" at which a drop-down
menu appears before the rest of the name autofills. Thanks for responding.
