How do I remove a trendline in a graph? If I select Chart, there is a
selection for "Add a Trendline" but I want to remove it?

Hi Sherry,

Right click on the selected trendline. One option is to 'Clear'. This will
remove the trendline from your chart.

When I select "Clear" it removes the whole line on the chart, not just the
trendline. I was able to select parts of the line and delete but I think I
did it the hard way. Especially since the trendline is hard to select.

Did you ungroup the chart before you removed the trend line? If you did,
then the trend line is not a true trend line anymore, just a series of short
connected lines. If this is the case, than those would need to be removed
one segment at a time.

But still, to make selecting them easier, boast up your magnification on the
slide to 200 or 400%. This will make stuff huge and much, much easy to
select.

Duh! Such a simple (and obvious) solution (magnification)!

I didn't add the trendline and I didn't ungroup, but I'm wondering if it
really is a trendline or if someone just added a "series of short connected
lines". At any rate, they are gone.

Thanks a lot!

Sherry
