removable drives and xp

i use win2000 running on my work computer, and winXP on my home computer.
Both PCs have a rack mount removable IDE hard drive. My question is: will
the removing/replacing with different hard drives each day create havoc with
the activation process??? i dont want to have to keep re-activating windows
every time i bring my backup home from work???

No, this should not require re-activation. And after XP has seen the
drive (or the volumes on it) one time, it will remember the drive
letters next time it sees the drive.
