I would like to remotely manage a computer running Windows 2000 Pro using a
computer running Windows XP Pro. Is this possible? I have Remote desktop
setup on the XP box, and I installed the admin tools from a 2000 server disk
on the 2000 pro box, but I can't figure out how to access the 2000 pro box.
Is there a way?

Using third party applications, you can remotely control and use the Windows
2000 Professional box. There is no other way as Windows 2000 professional
does not come with Remoe Desktop.

I suggest "UltraVNC" from http://ultravnc.sourceforge.net/

I would suggest downloading Remote Desktop Connection from Microsoft. Yes it
can be installed on Windows 2000.

The client can be used on Windows 2000 Professional, the host (server)
cannot.

Therefore the OP cannot remotely control (use) their Windows 2000
Professional PC from their Windows XP Professional PC using the built in
utilities.
