I have 5 users who travel frequently and need to send outbound mail through
our Exchange Server. I have SBS 2003 premium/Exchange 2003.

Is there a simple way to setup the Outlook clients to be able to send mail
through the Exchange Server? I know that it can be done with RPC over HTTP
but that requires XP Pro, Outlook 2003. These clients are running W2k Pro and
Outlook XP (2002).

Any help is greatly appreciated!

You can use VPN, too, and avoid getting into a mess with POP or IMAP.
Exchange 2000/2003 allow only authenticated relay by default, out of the
box, so they ought to be able to authenticate to it. Or have them use their
ISP's SMTP server. Personally, I don't enable POP or IMAP to my Exchange
servers - it's VPN, RCP over HTTP(s) or OWA only.
