Hi , Is there a way I can scan images remotely from a
Terminal Client and have the image end up at the Terminal
Server? Or , a similar product that can do this? Thank you

Chris

Vera,

We tried that a few years ago, and did not work. Do you have any suggestions
on to which model/brand to use?

We use a product called ScanShare Pro from Netcore. It is network
device with a network connection and a scsi port (much like a
network printer server device, but with a SCSI port in stead of a
parallel port). You can then access the scanner via the network.
It is fully supported in a TS / Citrix environment and works
perfectly in our test environment. There's a list of supported
scanners in the product documentation.

Try RemoteScan from http://www.remote-scan.com

It is new software and it works perfectly. It lets you share any kind
of TWAIN scanner (SCI / USB / Firewire, etc.), flatbed scanners, image
scanners, etc, over your LAN as well as WAN. We use it with Windows
Terminal Server and it is fantastic. We looked arround for some way
to let terminal server users access their own scanners, and until we
found RemoteScan, we had thought it was impossible.
