remote procrdure call (RPC) protocol Error occured

Hi,
we got a new Toshiba laptop with Windows XP SP2 Preinstalled. The first
thing I did was trying to join our domain, but I got the following Error:

"The following error occured attempting to join the domain"our domain".
"A remote procrdure call (RPC) protocol Error occured"

and I cannot join the domain.
We have Windows 2000 and Windows XP SP1 that can join the domain without any
errors.
Can Anu body help?
 
The new Toshiba laptop does have XP PRO SP2 on it,
not XP HOME SP2 right? You did not specify.
 
Yes. It has XP PRO SP2.Our Servers are "Windows 2000 Servers" (Without Active
Directory) and Unix Sco Version 5
