Hi, You have Blaster/Nachi worm.

To stop your PC from shutting down Goto Start>>Run>>Type "shutdown -a" (Hit
Enter) Then see the following sites to help you remove and patch your
system so it doesn't happen again.

A tool is available to remove Blaster worm and Nachi worm infections from
computers that are running Windows 2000 or Windows XP

Hey Man I hear you. I have that same problem. I believe
thats it the blaster worm virus thats causing it. I have
McAfee Virus scan 8.0 online fully updated and it can't
find any viruses on my pc. Also I can't update windows xp
either to get the patch for it. I sent a request for help
to microsoft. If i get a it fixed I'll post how to fix it.

I have the same problem! I downloaded an antivirus and it was not correctly installed. Now I can't uninstall it because I get a message saying the RPC is unavailable and the computer restarts all the time. Please would somebody help me too?!

Greetings --

If you connected the PC to the Internet without having first
installed the KB824146 Hotfix, without having first installed an
antivirus application with current virus definition files, and before
enabling a firewall, you're very likely to get infected from any of
the thousands of PCs on the Internet that are constantly broadcasting
the Blaster and/or Welchia worms. It only takes a few seconds of
exposure.

To stay on-line long enough to get the necessary updates, patches,
and removal tools, click Start > Run, and enter "shutdown -a" when the
next RPC countdown begins. This will abort the shut down. Also, make
sure you've enabled a firewall before starting, to preclude any more
intrusions while getting the updates/patches/tools.

But it does not work. When I enter "shutdown -a" it displays a message saying that windows cannot find "shutdown -a"
Any idea??
