Remote procedure call system shutdown

I keep getting a system shutdown message 'Remote Procedure
Call' - running Win XP Home on one machine (master)and Win
XP Prof on slave. System then goes in to shutdown mode and
reboots.
Any advice as to how this can be fixed?
