Remote Procedure Call service terminated early issues....

I am running Windows XP professional on my laptop and have
a dial up internet connection-----I keep getting a
sudden/unexpected system shutdown when on the internet
stating "remote procedure call (RPC) service terminated
early"----any help would be greatly appreciated...
