Help. My computer shuts down after about 5 minutes on
the internet with the error message shutdown initiated by
NT Authority/System. Refers to Remote Procedure Call
(RPC) Can you help me correct this. I just installed
windows XP Professional

If your computer is constantly attempting to shutdown
or reboot, quickly go to:

Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter.
This opens the Command Prompt window.

Then type: shutdown -a , and hit enter.

This should halt the rebooting problem.

Then immediately turn-on Windows XP's built-in Firewall:

Hi!
Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter.
Now in Command Prompt window type:-

"shutdown -a" > enter

or,
Start>Run>Type "shutdown -a">ok
