On my home network, I have an XP Pro machine using PC Anywhere. The
application seems to freeze all the time.

To fix the problem, I have to go into task manager, kill the process and
then it starts on it's own again.

Is there a way to send a command over my intranet to kill a process on a
remote XP pc? All the workstations on my pc obviously have unique names and
IP addresses and are part of the workgroup.

Thanks

What version of PC Anywhere? Version 10.5 was the first to support XP directly.

Have you considered Remote Desktop Protocol (Terminal Services)??

Or VNC???

Thank you. I just enabled Terminal Services, works really well.

I'm a bit confused. All I did was enable remote desktop in system
properties. Does this need to be enabled for remote assistance to work as
well?
