Remote Desktopping.

Any suggestions on the best way to set up and run a remote desktop? I have
some file on my home pc that I need to transfer to my Sister's pc and need to
access my pc at home.

A good starting point would be to state these essential parameters:
- The OS used by each PC
- The type of Internet connection used by each PC
- The network configuration at each end
