Can I user Remote Desktop to connect to a Windows XP Home
computer from a Windows XP Pro computer just by typing in
the IP address?

Hi Jon,

You cannot Remote Desktop to a XP Home system. Your two options are to
either use Remote Assistance or Net Meeting with Desktop sharing.

Hope this helps.

.
If you installed XP Pro, would it work?

Hi Jon,

Yes, if the machine was upgraded to WinXP Pro, you would gain the feature of
Remote Desktop. Here is a list a page that outlines some other differences.
