Dear, i've installed remote desktop on a Windosw98 client, i've installed the latest remote desktop software. I've configurated the required options on the WindowsXp laptop. The two PC's are connected through a hub. Ping works both ways...but I cannot make a remote desktop connection from the Windows98 PC to the laptop.
Question: Which securety policies/settings conflict with Remote desktop connection and prevent having a connection.
Who has the answer?
Greetings Hans

Do you get an error? If you do not get a connection (i.e., machine
not found or not answering), check the following:

1) Make sure that Remote Desktop is Enabled.
2) Check to see if the Internet Connection Firewall is enabled. If
so, make sure that you configure it to allow incoming Remote Desktop
sessions.
3) Check if you have any other 3rd party firewalls that may be
blocking connections.
