I loaded a PC with Vista and have another laptop with Vista, I can not remote
desktop to the first PC from the laptop (haven't tried the other way). Both
PCs are on a 2K3 domain and can see and access all other resources on the
network.

I get an error message with Rmote Desktop...

No authority could be contacted for authentication. For assistance, contact
yor system administtrator or technical support.

I noticed on my DCs under Users and Computers both PCS show up, but only the
laptop shows up in a DNS reverse lookup. I also have noticed that since I
loaded the PC I am tring to RD to I am getting in the Event Viewer under File
Replication Service the following...

File Replication Service has detected and suppressed an average of 15 or
more file updates every hour forthe last three hours because the changes did
not change the contents of the file.

I suppose I could remove the computer from the domain and User and Computers
as well as ADSI on my DCs and reload Vista.

Jeff, can't answer your question but have you tried asking in the
networking group? They may have seen this before and know exactly what
the problem is.

I wonder if the file error is due to the fact that "Something" cannot
copy your ID to the controller or something odd like that, so of course
you are not exchanging credentials. Something like a roaming profile.
You might know a lot more about domains than I do though :)

It sounds like something is "Blocked" either firewall or permissions or
security policy but I admit to having very little experience of
troubleshooting those types of issue.
