i'm having a very strange problem:

1. machine1 (xp pro sp2) is running at 1600x1200
2. machine2 (xp pro sp2) is running at 1920x1200
3. i remote desktop from machine2 to machine1 and work in full screen mode
(1600x1200)
4. i disconnect
5. i go to machine1 and unlock and the screen resolution changes to 1024x768

this only happens with one of the many many machines i remote desktop into.

any ideas what could be causing this? it's extremely annoying breaking my
workflow because all the applications get squeezed when i unlock machine1

i've tried using windowed remote desktop with the same result.

okay, i've figured out the problem. pretty interesting. basically,
machine1 will revert to the resolution settings of the Administrator user!
i logged in as the administrator and it switched me to 1024x768. with a
raise eyebrow i changed the resolution to 1600x1200 for the admin user.
logged out. went through the repro steps above and all was well.
