Is there a way to install the Remote Desktop host, like that
host that available in XP Pro, in Win 2000 (not Win 2000
server) so that the Win 2000 computer may be controlled
from a client computer over the Internet?

No, but you can use VNC or NetMeeting Remote Desktop or Remote Admin (which I have not used) to
access/control a W2K box remotely...

Get the VNC or Remote Admin software from...

http://ultravnc.sourceforge.net/
http://www.deltasoft.hr/remote/index_en.htm

For help with NetMeeting RDS look at this KB article. NetMeeting is built-in to XP/W2K and can not
be
upgraded...

Note that the VNC data stream is *NOT* encrypted so that is a potential security problem if you use
if over the public internet. Some folks run VNC through VPN tunnels to get around that issue.

Or...update to XP Pro...:-)
