Hello!

I connected to another PC in our company with the Win XP Remote Desktop
Connection feature.
The problem: After I log out as administrator, the other user gets a message
on the screen "Video mode not supported". This cannnot be recovered, so he
has to restart the pc. I've a screen resolution of 1400x1050 (Acer
Travelmate) and the other user 1280x1024 (Fujitsu Siemens).
Does someone know what could be wrong?

Thank you very much for your help!

Open the RDC tool, click the Options button, then the Display tab. Lower
the display to one that both remote PCs will support, then save your
settings as the default.

I've been having the same problem with Remote Desktop, and your
suggestion fixed it. I changed the client's "Remote desktop size"
setting from "Full Screen" to the host's screen resolution of 1024 x
768. I often connect to my main computer from a client's site, and I
was having to reboot the main computer each time when I got home.

Thanks, Richard! I owe you one. :-)

Glad I could be of assistance. I figured that one out the first time I
"locked" everyone out of a DC - seems their 1024x768 monitors didn't like
the settings my 1280x1024 monitor left on the server. ;-)
