Hello there..

I was wondering if anyone could answer a big question for me. I once was
using Windows XP Prof which has Remote Desktop Connection (Host) built
inside. I have recieved a new computer and a new laptop both running Home
Edition. I understand in order to have the Host side of things you need to be
running XP Prof, though i was wondering if anyone knew if Microsoft came out
with a Host Program that can be added to XP Home.

Someone has posted a question like this not to long ago in this forum and
was advised to download a program that would allow this to happen for the
fact that XP Home doesnt have it. That means when I go to a friends computer
that I would have to install this type of program on their computer. I dont
feel comfortable doing so.

Please help me.. If there is a add-on program that I can use for XP Home..
Please let me know..

Thanks Brad

I use TightVNC over my home LAN to access/control my wife's XP Home machine from my XP Pro machine.

If you want to do this over the public internet then I suggest either UltraVNC with its encryption
plug-in or you run VNC through a VPN/SSH tunnel...
