Remote Desktop and Num Lock

Hi,

When we logon to a laptop with Remote Desktop why the NUM LOCK key stays
active every time they reboot? They turn the key off so that they can login
and do not turn it on again but when they reboot, it is always on again.

Its proving very annoying as we get lots of calls from people who say they
can't login (even though we have told them a million times that they should
make she the NUM LOCK keys is off!).

Thansk for your help with this,

Jamie

There is an option in your computer Setup [what you see before Windows
is booted] to Enable or Disable the Num Key. You have to read the
opening screen quickly to see how to enter Setup as it different on
each brand of PC or BIOS. On my Dell Latitude it is the F2 key.
