I just purchased a pc pre-installed wtih Windows XP Home Edition (SP2).
I want to access this machine from a pc off location. The second pc has
Windows XP Pro installed. Am I to understand that the XP Pro pc cannot
access the XP Home Edition pc? The XP Home edition pc has Remote Assitance
installed - but not Remote Desktop.

Can anyone please suggest how I would be able to access the XP Home pc FROM
THE XP PRO PC? (XP Pro would be the client, XP Home would be HOST)

Thank you!

Hi,

You are correct, the WinXP Home system cannot be the host, only a client.
There are plenty of free VPN programs that can do this for you though (I
have no specific recommendations).
