Sir,

This is pramila from India. I got a computer in Chennai
with WinXP OS and my boss in UK and has a computer with
same OS. He wants me to access his computer from my
computer. He wants me to monitor his computer using
Remotecontrol feature in windowsxp. Is it possible in
Windows xp. If so, please guide me to set up the (Remote
control) feature . Consider my computer as Server or host
and my boss's computer as Client. Please explain me as
soon as possible.

Thanks in advance.

Pramila

If your boss is running XP Pro you can use Remote Desktop from your PC to access/control his PC.
Look at these pages for help...

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/focuson/remotedesktop.asp

In that situation, only one person can access (see) the desktop at a time. See this KB article for
an explanation...

If you both need to see the bosses desktop at the same time, ie. a help desk function, then Remote
Assistance maybe a solution for you. Both you, the Expert, and your boss, the Novice, can view the
Novice screen at the same time. The Novice must give permission for the Expert to both view and take
control of the Novice PC...
