Remote Client issue

For some reason, when I remote into a winodws XP worksation the sound does
not work, I go to control panel, sounds, its muted, I unclick mute but as
soon as I hit apply the mute check mark returns. Why does this happen.
I tried logging in w/ the same user account to the machine localy and sound
works fine. I'm using a username w/ admin right on a domain.

Before you connect remotely to the other computer, you need to select the
"Options" button on the Remote Desktop Connection screen. Click on the
"Local Resources" tab and set your sound options there.
