why wont remote assistance connect? i keep getting remote
host name cannot be resolved. please try again. why do i
get this? i have used it before with the same person and
it had no problem.

is the person helping or asking for help now behind a firewall, if so tcp
port 3389 has to be opened.

-or-

is the person asking for the assistance on a router now?

if so easiest way to fix that is to have them directly connect to the
internet. if that's not an option then they'll need to save the assistance
request as a file, edit it and change the ip address in it to their wan ip,
then send it. They'll also have to either point the virtual DMZ host in
their router to their local ip or foward port 3389 to their local ip.
