I'm trying to connect to a computer using Remote
assistance in Windows XP home. Both computers are new
Dell Dimension 4600's, both DSL connections and firewalls
are turned off.

I've tried sending the Remote access request as an
attachment through e-mail and using Windows Messenger.
They can only connect to me through windows messenger.

But I can't connect to them either way. I get the
following error:

"Remote Assistance connection could not be established
because the remote host name could not be resolved.
Please try again."

Any idea why this won't work?

Thanks... Amazing page!! But still problem not solved...
any clue that deals directly with the error:
"Remote Assistance connection could not be established
because the remote host name could not be resolved.
Please try again."
Thanks
