Is there any way of setting up a XP laptop that is inside
a local home network to auto-accept incoming Remote
Assistance requests from a machine outside of the home
network that is running Windows 2000. I am trying to be
able to access my laptop while on the road and since I've
never used Remote Assistance, I'm kinda at a wall as to
how to set it up, what parameters I need and what options
I have to turn on/off in order to get it up and going (or
if its even possible. The Win2K machine is a machine that
is normally on the local home network (if that makes a
difference).

Thanks.

Remote Assistance isn't what you want to use. As the name implies, RA
is for getting or providing help remotely.

You want either XP Pro's Remote desktop or any one of the free VNC
versions available on the net.
