I have PC's on a network. I need to be able to watch the desktops of
any given PC on the Network... I want a form with command buttons, when
the button is clicked a window (or a form) will pop up showing the
desktop of the approipiate PC. I want this window/form to be movable.
I don't want to use PC Anywhere......Is there any program or code out
there that can do this? Any help appreciated.
Thanks

There are quite a few, but a) they're not cheap and b) they have
nothing to do with the database software Microsoft Access(TM) which is
the subject of this newsgroup.

One of my collegues uses DameWare which lets you "shadow" any network
machine (and even take it over if need be). Try googling for it.

Thanks John, So I guess there is no code that I c
an use to perform this function from Access? If worse comes to worse,
can I open PC Anywhere from Access or some VPN program that will come
upon a form in Access?
Once again,
Thanks

As John says, there are many of these utilities around, but they aren't
necessarily expensive. For example there's VNC which is free. I also use
Dameware and it's a fine piece of kit.

If the original idea was to build some kind of remote management system in
Access, then I don't think it would be at all straightforward, and I'd also
think completely pointless.
