I have a new HP Notebook that refuses to remember a password - even though it asks if I want it to. In setting up Outlook Express there is a space for a password to be remembered. I enter the password, go to another option, come back and the password is still there. I exit the setup, re-enter, and the password is gone. I have no problem with my desktop running WXP. Is there an option in WXP where it can be told to never remember passwords?

I don't use Outlook Express - why does it want passwords? Is this part of the
setup for your e-mail provider? I use Outlook for my e-mail and News Rover for
my newsgroups.

At any rate, it doesn't sound like a Windows thing, but like an application
thing.
