Remember User and Password

I have a network connection and I would like to save User & Password. There
is a checkbox available (remember login) for this purpose which should enable
the textboxes in order to be able to enter user & password but this checkbox
is always disabled. Any idea what could be the reason?

Roland,

Is the server (target connection computer) running:
a) XP Home.
b) XP Pro with Simple File Sharing enabled.
c) XP Pro with SFS disabled.
And the same questions for the client (your computer).

I don't know what the server system is.

The Client is a XP Home system. How do I enable Simple file sharing?
