HeyBub

(First, this happened at my doctor's office)

Physician's Assistant: "We'll always remember you, Mr. P ! "
Me: "You'll remember me tomorrow?"
PA: "Yes."
Me <smiling>: "You'll remember me next week?"
PA: "Of course we will."
Me <even more enthusiastically>: "You'll remember me a month from now?! "
PA: "Yes, certainly."
Me: "Knock-knock."
PA: "Who's there?"
Me <looks glum>: "See, you've forgotten me already."

Anyway, a couple of web sites I visit provide the "Remember me on this
computer" check box. I check the box. Then, the next time I visit, they've
forgotten me, just like the doctor's office.

Is there a security switch on my machine that needs flipping?

Do you have TweakUI paranoia turned on? Or some other PC protection
suite that may be clearing these options?

Many sites automagicly set the cookies to expire after a set time. For
instance, my Google News remember me is good for two weeks.
