How can I remap the letters that are assigned to hard drives? Currently
my primary drive shows up as "F" and I want it to display as "C."

Thanks.

Does it matter?

Start | Programs | Administrative Tools | Computer Management. Click Disk
Management, then right click the drive you want to change and change it
there.

as "C."

However you can change the drive letter of any drive *except* that one.

Reinstall is the only way to fix that one. Disconnect the removable
drives before you install so that C gets assigned to the first drive.

Remapping is easy, execpt for the one your system is on : in registry
eveyrthing point to F: in your case instead of C:. So if you just changed F:
drive letter to C: the system would no more be able to find it's pieces.
Best is reinstall with other drives disconnected.

Or you can try it "the hard way" by taking a look here :

Good luck
