Hello, I recently completely replaced my hard drive and did a clean
install of Windows XP on it. However, after XP finished installing,
my Zip drive is now mapped as C, and my hard drive is mapped as E. Is
there any way to drive the drive naming? Thank you!

No - you must do a reinstallation with the Zip drive removed. Do not plug it
back in until Windows is fully installed.

Is it really necessary to reinstall Win XP with the zip
drive removed, or can the Win XP drive stay as E, F, G,
etc.? Will it cause conflicts with anything if it is not
C, or is this just a cosmetic fix? I just clean installed
Win XP on a new drive and I spent a lot of time tweaking
it already and don't want to waste more time. thanks

It's basically a cosmetic problem. You might run into a program that only
wants to install on C:. Rare but it can happen. Or you may open Explorer
one day and find no icons in the left hand column - a side effect that
shows up on some systems when XP is not on C:.
