Is it possible to move my Outlook.pst file to another location - like
another computer. So that I can open the OUTLOOK application on my loval
machine but the .PST file resides on say a server machine . I know I can do
this with other PST files but I am wondering if this can be done with the
one where your inbox is located?

I am trying to do this as I would like to backup the "open/locked" PST file
using SYNCBACKSE but it needs the file to be located on an NTFS volume.

You CAN, but BE WARNED - this is NOT supported by Microsoft. In the event
that the network connection is dropped (even for a milli-second) while
Outlook is read/writing the pst file, it may well become irrecoverably
corrupted.
What OS are you using? If W2K or XP then just convert your HDD to NTFS.

Unless you specifically wish to use your backup app, and dont wish to
convert to ntfs, for some bizare reason, use the free MS Outlook Backup
addin.
