How can I reload my Office Small Business 2000 edition CD
to Windows XP. XP refuses to recognize (accept) my vedor
code for the program.
I have not been satisfied with the responses from MS or
My Vendor Micron since I am still without access to my
legitimately provided program.
This may have resulted because I started from scratch on
a new drive rather than doing a direct upgrade on the
existing hard drive with the Windows 98 SE OS. I have
been perfectly satisfied with my SBE 2000 that came with
my computer and have no desire to upgrade and certainly
don't believe I should have to buy a new copy.
P.S.
I would think the least MS would do for those upgrading
to windows XP and having a registered copy of a MS
program is to make sure that legitimately acquired MS
programs get the support necessary to reload these
programs. If MS's vendow discounted programs short
change files or features, then they should make a new CD
available for a minor upgrade fee and shipping charges.
They should not force these individuals into buying new
copies. With all the negative publicity lately I would
think that MS would be more helpful to its steady
customers and offer a reasonable solution to this type of
problem! I have, by the way, made this as a suggestion
through MS's feedback webpage. But as you know they
don't acknowledge anything forwarded by way of
suggestions.
