Reload TCP/IP

I have a system with a problem getting out to the internet. I can ping the
router but that is all.
I set a static IP but still nothing. I can't release renew using automatic
IP. Someone told me about a way to remove winsock and winsock2 and
reinstall, but I can't find it on technet. Any help please?

First make sure your dns is configured correctly unless you have verified that you
can not access internet addresses via their IP address using tracert. For instance
try to tracert 207.46.245.214 which is to Microsoft.com. The link below shows how to
