Alt.Comp.Freeware.Managers. A Question? Is there anyway we can keep
Ronald McDonald and the rest of his religious snake oil salesmen off
this BB? I have subscribed to this group for almost three years and I
have thoroughly enjoyed it.
The information provided is timely and of much use to people like me.
It is no place for a bunch of Christian cultists and their ilk to sell
their brand of propaganda!

Suggestion: start by reading about what usenet is and what it is
not. "BB" is one thing usenet is _not_. ;)

The short answer to "... can we keep ..." is "no, we cannot."

What "we" as individual visitors/contributors/lurkers can do is
to use a decent newsreader with filtering capabilities. Then one
can decide what to "kill" and/or whom to "plonk."

BTW, the most recent flood by the Grossi #$%^& is one of the
easiest (simples rule) crap to filter out. :)

There is no manager. You would be better off using a newsreader rather
than Google groups to access this forum. Then you can configure
filters to remove such people from your view.

Never! Not in a freeware newsgroup.

Sure it is. While the word propaganda is generally used in a negative
connotation, it also has a more benign usage (see #2 below, which this
one falls under):

1. The systematic propagation of a doctrine or cause or of information
reflecting the views and interests of those people advocating such a
doctrine or cause.
