"Relaying" emails

I work at a remote location and a client's emails are
automatically forwarded to me. However, when I receive the
emails, the sender address is that of my client, not that
of the original sender, which means I don't know who sent
them, and I receive none of the "cc" addresses. My client
frequently asks me to respond to these emails, but I
cannot--I must determine, one way or another, the email
address of the original sender (and any cc's), and then
have to send a new email--which upsets people who like to
maintain an email trail. Does anyone know how I might get
around this problem?

You'll see the e-mail address of the original sender in the body of the
message - under "original message". Can't think of any way to automate
this - Outlook is quite sensibly trying to reply to the person who sent you
the mail. Perhaps you could be set up on the client's mail server with your
own address and clients could send to you directly...

Thanks. However, there is no "original message," but just
the message. These emails are forwarded automatically
rather than manually, so they appear to come straight from
my client, not from HIS clients. We don't want the emails
to come to me directly since my position is strictly
secretarial. A system has been set up whereby I am
automatically forwarded all of my client's emails so that
my client can make reference to them and I can extract
attachments from them. So, I appreciate the suggestions,
but, unfortunately, they don't apply to my situation.
Thanks again.

You're going to have to somehow change the system that forwards those
messages to you - it sounds like it's completely stripping all the original
addresses. If that's the case, there's nothing that can be done at your end
to get them back - it'll take a change in the forwarding process.
