Relaying denied in outlook my McAfee

I'm receiving emails OK, but McAfee tells me that messages cannot be sent,
and that I should verify the format of my recipients addresses. Also that
McAfee recommends that I resend messages from my email program.
Why is this? should I uninstall and reinstall McAfee?
I installed office 2007 after not before.
 
disable mcafee's email scanning. it is not properly authenticating with the
smtp server or is otherwise messed up. scanning outbound mail is pointless
anyway.
