Reinstalling XP

M. Rajesh is correct about the product key . Only one
will work, so no worries there.
To reinstall, assuming you have or will reformat the
drive, there is no need to reinstall ME. Just Boot off of
the XP cd ( set BIOS to boot from CD first ( before the
hard drive)). The setup MAY ask you for complying media
depending on the installation you do. Just pop in ANY cd
that is ME or 98 or even 95 and then the installation
will thank you and then ask for the XP disk and you're
done...about 1 hr later, of course. :)

oh yeah, and about activation. First, try the on-line one
first. This will usually work 1 to 5 times before the
server spits you out as a possible "activation activist /
pirater". If this is the case and you need to call
activation, the good folks there only want to hear that
it is your copy and that this copy was removed from
another machine and placed on a new machine and they will
give you the alpha-numeric code that you need.

They sure give him no alpha - numeric code...instead he
will get an Conformation ID....
