Hi. I have to reinstall Windows XP, do I need to back up
all of my files? Or will they all still be there after
the reinstallation?

Thanks alot.

Hello Steve
You can do a repair installation if your system isn't in to bad of shape and
you are using a XP CD and all your files should be alright, but you always
want to backup your important files before doing any major adjustment.
Be sure to unhook all the hardware except the Monitor, Mouse & Keyboard,
then after the download go to Windows Update site and download all the
critical updates for your security and safety.

You forgot to mention to make sure that some
firewall be enabled or be behind a router BEFORE
connecting to the Internet and going to the Windows
Update site for critical updates.
