serial number from system in performance and maintenance in the control
panel. is this correct? help me thank you>

Product keys for software are normally on a sticker on either the
CD case or paper sleeve. Product keys are usually stored in XP
as encrypted data. There are a few programs that will decrypt the
data on a running XP setup and display them. The information in
System properties is the Product ID for XP which is generated at
the time XP is installed. Some OEMs distribute software disks
that have the appropriate Key embedded in them already. If you
do locate the key, get yourself a Ultra Fine Point Sharpie and put
the key code on the Disk face itself.

No, it's not correct. You have to enter the serial number for WordPerfect.
You ca't find it in Control Panel or anyplace else in your computer. It's
the serial number that comes with the WordPerfect CD.

Contact the Author of the program you are having problems with. This is
NOT an XP problem.
