Reinstalling WinXP home edition

Can I reinstall WinXP Home Edition over an existing WinXP Home Edition already
installed on my HD without reformatting my harddrive.

Without reformating you have to choose Repair Windows XP.

Yes you can reinstall if you what a clean install ( it will erase all data)

unsuccessful in attempting to repair windows xp. after hitting Enter when asked for password.. i go into dos mode and no licensing agreement pops up. what should i do from there?
