I have Win XP Pro installed on my computer. I would like
to do a complete reinstall of the OS. The XP is an
upgrade not the full XP. I believe that I need to Boot
from my Win 98 CD and format the drive. Then I continue
with the 98 install. Then I should be able to do the
upgrade CD. Is this correct or am I out in left field.

cd in tray to do this xp will verify it and complete
your install!

Bingo. Worked the same when installing W98SE upgrade.
Just had to have the Win 3.1 floppies handy during the 98
install.

Well I tried the install. It did not go as expected. When
required to choose the Upgrade or clean install should I
use the clean install option?
