I tried installing direct cd from an old hp formatted cd writer cd disc, but
windows xp pro says the drivers have been disabled and are not compatible and
I receive an error message every time i boot up . How do i get these drivers
off my system and remove the error message. Roxio support is impossible to
contact.

Thanks

Look in your add/remove programs for anything Adaptec - possibly a UDF reader
and uninstall it.

go to roxio's site and dowload the latest update for your specific
version; then reinstall it. they should have a free update that'll be XP
compatable. Note DirectCD is a seperate, optional component, you may
need to check its box in the installer to get to install it.
