Reinstall XP problems!!

I reinstalled XP Home Edition, now can't connect to internet. Can't add a new
connection either!. Error code 711. Internet explorer won't open now either.
 
do you expect us here that provide help to be mind
reader ? You need to mention why you felt you needed to
reinstall , Also what exactlly did you do when you say
you reinstall , how did you do this ? Remember its best
to mention everything you have done , computer specs ,
the more info you provide the better we can help ...
 
Hi,

This error occurs usually when the modem is not connected properly. Try
to remove the modem from the slot and insert it again. May be it will work
then.
