reinstall problems

I ve used xp pro on my Ibm for two years and have had some problems nothing
major i just have to reformat my harddrive every 4 to 6 months due to the
hard drive loses the windows operations files .it went on for 1.5 years and i
went and reinstalled the operation system over again with out any problem
just load the software and input the 25 alphanumeric product id number, like
instructed but it keep on breaking down so i bought me a new hard drive and
tried loading the operation system. it has only been one one computer since i
got it brand new with my Ibm . now if my hard drive acts up and i have to
reinstall the operation system i have to call microsoft and beg to get a new
confirmation number just to activate windows xp .the last time i called they
said it was pirated serial number on my Ibm . i t did not start doing this
until i put the new hard drive in . and formated the old one . did i do some
thing wrong while installing my drive, or operation system,or is microsoft
just tring to pull a fast one . i really need help please help me im begging
.. My Machine is a Ibm T 30 with xp Pro 100gb seagate hard drive

Hi - you will likely get more help if you compose your newsgroup posts as
though you were trying to get a good grade from a very picky 10th grade
English teacher. This post is incredibly hard to read, Mr. Faulkner. :)

a) If you were having such frequent problems with your computer that it
required a full reinstall every 4/6 mos, either you had bad hardware or were
not taking precautions / securing your computer / practicing Safe Hex - did
you ever contact IBM to confirm a hardware issue?
b) If you're using the same product ID you used before, I find it hard to
believe you would now be told it was a 'pirated' copy. Are you sure you
entered the key correctly, and are using the right one (the one on the
sticker on your computer, presuming your computer came with XP)?
