I've scavenged the newsgroups for this answer for about
a month. I seem to keep running into dead ends.
I'm running into a problem whereby, some things were messed
up in the Services. There are two things I need to reinstall
and / or set to their original configurations.
1) DCOM
2) DNS Client Service
The Group Policy applet gpedit.msc cannot be run and
presents a "Snap-in Creation Failed." message.
With that in mind, I'm looking for any helpful information
about the registry keys involved with DCOM, where the
information is kept in regards to how DCOM is logging
on.
Thanks in advance.
