im a student and am doing a regression project which requires the data analysis add on. office xp came on my computer and i dont have the office disc. is there a place i can download it or something? ive spent over an hour on microsofts web site and it just takes me in circles (you think it would be more user friendly). can someone please help?!?

You may have it. It's part of the Analysis ToolPak. Issue the menu command Tools
 
AFAIK, it's not available for download. If you can't find the disk
(which should have come with the machine from the manufacturer), you
may be able to borrow an install disk from your IT department.

OTOH, if you're really doing a regression project, you may want to
search the archives:

basically sucks at nearly everything it does. Here's one thread ito

Note that XL03 is reportedly much better in many areas, though not
in all.
